Hello there, to whoever happens to be reading this journal.

As you may, or may not know, I am fairly new to DA...albeit, I have been registered here for a while, but haven't actually done anything.

There is a simple reason for this: deviantArt is is huge. It's hard to know where to start! Art just appears here, there...everywhere, and there's no stopping it. They say that you should start here by submitting and commenting on art, getting yourself known. However, that's hard when there's so much art here. To even make a dent into any part of the dA community is extremely difficult.

Personally, I currently prefer SheezyArt. This is because there's less art and it's easier to get yourself known and to make some good friends. I've made many friends there, all of whom submit great art, and I have a lot of fun there.

Despite this, however, dA just has such a quality of art, there is far more quality here, than there is on SA. I have seen very little of that annoying fan art which seems to overrun SA.

So I will stick at trying to get into dA, as I'm sure there are friends to be made and people who will comment on your art!

I'm not sure what the point of this journal was...just to get some things written down I think, so that when I'm into dA (I'm confident I will...XD) I can see how I felt "way back when". How selfish of me, nay? *chuckles to self*
